This program is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills to operate a self-erecting tower crane for licensing purposes. The program covers the operation of a crane where the tower structure and boom/jib elements are not disassembled into component sections, which can be transported between sites as a complete unit, and where the erection and dismantling processes are an inherent part of the crane's function as prescribed by the National Standard for Licencing Persons Performing High Risk Work.
On completion of this program paticipants will be able to effectively communicate and work safely with others in the work area. risk assessment and management procedures, planning the job, conducting routine checks, positioning and setting up the crane, transferring loads, shutting down and securing the crane.
As a Registered Training Organisation we would prefer that all participants enrolled in this program already have their Dogging licence as the knowledge is significantly helpful in obtaining your Self-erecting tower crane licence but it is not mandatory.
